Rules forTeenage Dating

image photo : Waiting for his date

Have your date pick you up at your home.

This way your family will be able to give him the once over. They may be more discerning than you are at this time.

Be sure to let your parents know where your date is taking you.

In the event that something happens, they will know where to look for you.

Checkout the condition of your dates car.

A messy car may give you a hint about his personality and lifestyle.

Don't dress to skimpy.

He may think you're easy and begin pressuring you for sex.

Don't drink or use drugs.

You or your date may end up doing something that you will regret. And, teenage drinking is one of the number one causes of teenage death.

Don't order the most expnsive thing on the menu.

He may think you're a gold digger.

Ask your date questions about himself and his interests.

It will show that you are interested in getting to know him.

At the end of the date, let him know if you had a great time.

It will increase the likelyhood of him calling you for a second date.

Call your date to make sure he made it home safe.

This is common courtesy.

How to Deal With Joblessness

image photo : Worried business man

Go on a Budget

Times are hard right now. But you can survive the economy. Create a list of all your debts and make arrangements to pay the ones that are most pressing. Pay the ones that can not be avoided such as rent and utilities immediately. Talk with your creditors about the ones that you cannot pay. Stay away from your favorite stores and restaurants. You may be tempted to spend more than you have right now. Money should be saved for food, clothes, and toiletries, etc.

Consider a New Career

Maybe you hated your last job as a technician and have always wanted to be a musician. Well, now is a good time to pursue your life long dream. Each day, do something that will bring you one step closer to accomplishing your career goals. If you don't have the necessary skills---consider taking classes or look for volunteer opportunities that may lead to a new position.

If you have already worked in your chosen field, keep your skill level up to part and stay abreast of what is going on in your industry.

Network

Find out where people who work in your field hang out. Check out the clubs and organizations in your townspecific to your occupation. If avaible, attend tradeshows, conferences, and work shops. Keep in touch with former coworkers. They may be able to offer you some assistance with your jobsearch.

Follow-up. Follow-up, Follow-up

Keep up with your job applications and contact information so that you can inquire about future job opportunities. Always send thank you notes after each job interview within a day or two after the interview. Get the names and telephone numbers of people that you have met while you were out job searching. They may be able to give you future job leads.

Keep Up Good Grooming Habits
You may not feel like doing much of anything sometimes. But first impressions are still lasting impressions. A potental employer will notice stained teeth, bad odors in your linen, and blood shot eyes. Also, make sure that your clothes are stylish and up to date.

Don't Give Up

You may get discouraged and feel depressed about your current situation. However, the future is only what you make of it. Better rewards later on than never. Your friends and family can be a great source of support and may also be able to help you along your career path.

Pray

We all need a helping hand from up above. It will help you to remain positive and give you a sense of peace.
