Dinner Party Etiquette

Starter, Main Course And Dessert

Freshen Up

It is unsanitary to show up at a dinner party without having showered.

Don't Bring Friends Without Getting Permission

The host may have only made preparations for a certain amount of people.

Arrive on Time

Showing up is disrespectful and may hold up the festivities.

Bring Something to the Table

The host will appreciate it. And not only will you appear to be someone who has something to offer, they will remember you the next time they throw a party.

Introduce Yourself to the Other Guests

Besides from being rude, you don't want to appear to be unsociable. Also showing up in a bad disposition may bring down everyone elses cheerfulness.

Participate in the Festivities

You were invited to a party --- so why not!

Wait Until Everyone is Seated Before Eating

The rest of the guests may think that this is the only reason you showed up.

Watch Your Alcohol Intake

We should all be responsible adults. Never drink more than you can handle.

Don't Talk While Chewing Food

You may send food particles flying into someone elses plate and ruin their meal.

\Offer to Help Clean Up Afterwards

This is courteous and shows good manners
